AUTUMN AT THE BARN
As the seasons shift, the Barn takes on a new rhythm. Cooler days, golden leaves, the crackle of firepits, and dishes that put our cheeses, pork, and seasonal produce at the centre. October and November bring a calendar of simple pleasures — from children’s activities in the woods to spiced pumpkin lattes and slow autumn walks.
Spiced Pumpkin Lattes & Muffins
Throughout October, we’ll be serving pumpkin-spiced lattes, seasonal hot chocolates and autumn-inspired muffins in the café and take-away shed — the perfect companion to a woodland walk.
AUTUMN WALKS
Andrew has been busy marking out new trails through our 80 acres of woodland. There are now four marked routes for you to enjoy — 15 / 20 / 30 / 45 minutes - ideal for stretching your legs before lunch, or walking off a slice of cake afterwards.
The paths take you through mixed woodland and out into open views across the farm, with plenty of fresh air and changing autumn colours to enjoy along the way.

Halloween at the Barn
Friday 31 October, 5–7pm
Free entry, no booking required
This Halloween, we’re teaming up with Black Mount Community Development Trust for a spooky evening full of fun — and just a few chills.
Step into the woods for a torch-lit walk among the trees, where the shadows might just play tricks on you… then gather round for stories by lantern light and a toasty firepit. There will be marshmallows to roast (with a small donation to support Black Mount Community Development Trust), plus apple dooking, toffee apples, and hot stovies and soup from the Barn.
Family-friendly fun for all ages — just wrap up warm, bring your torch, and join us if you dare.
warm up, and slow down
Firepits, blankets, and hearty autumn dishes are here to help you make the most of the season. Whether you join us for a rarebit or a bowl of soup after a walk, or you book the children onto one of our free half-term activities, autumn is the perfect time to see the Barn in its seasonal glow.

We are situated on the A702, five miles north of Biggar. There is ample parking as well as 80 acres of woodland to explore.
Our venue is fully accessible, designated parking, on the level, with wide doors and toilet facilities.
Dogs are welcome at Errington’s Barn! We have a designated area in The Larch Room, our adjoining garden conservatory, where you can relax with breakfast or lunch while enjoying views of the woodland. On colder days, the log burner keeps it warm and cosy.
We recommend booking ahead, especially at weekends when it can get busy. There’s also plenty of outdoor seating for sunnier days.
Dogs are welcome in the farm shop, but only service dogs are permitted in the main dining area.
